About the Landbank-STI Student Loan Program

The Landbank-STI Student Loan Program is payable based on the maturity of the sub-promissory notes, but not to exceed three (3) years at no interest and with easy application process for the payment of tuition, other school fees, and miscellaneous fees of undergraduate students who are enrolled at any STI campus nationwide for the school year 2020-2021 only.

 


Requirements

Two valid IDs with at least one government-issued ID of parent/guardian who will guarantee the loan:

  • One government-issued ID (Passport, Driver’s license, PRC, Voter’s ID, UMID, SSS, TIN, Postal ID, OWWA OFW e-Card, etc.)
  • One Non-government issued ID (Company ID, etc.)

Any of the following documents that indicate the address of the parent/guardian who will guarantee the loan:

  • Latest utility bills (MERALCO, Maynilad, Manila Water, Globe, Smart, etc.)
  • Latest bank/credit card statements

Eligibility

The following may avail of the Landbank-STI Student Loan Program:

  • Incoming college students and college transferees in their first year, second year, or third year level for SY 2020-2021
  • Existing STI college students in their first year (2nd Term), second year or third year level for SY 2020-2021
  • Will enroll in any 4 to 5-year program (CHED courses) or 2 to 3-year program (TESDA courses) at any STI campus
  • Students who are in their terminal year of their program for school year 2020-2021 are not eligible to avail of the student loan program

Application Period

Interested applicants may apply until September 15, 2020.


Loanable Amount

The maximum loanable amount for Term 1 of school year 2020-2021 may vary depending on the Total Assessment Amount indicated on the Registration and Assessment Form (RAF) of the student as shown on the table below:

The loan amount is intended solely for defraying the cost of tuition, other school fees, and miscellaneous fees for a given term. As such, the loan shall be directly applied as payment to tuition and other school fees. It will not be released in cash.

The loan is subject to availability of funds. Thus, the approval of the loan is done on a first-come, first-served basis and subject for evaluation.

 

Terms & Conditions

  • The loan is payable monthly within 30 months or 20 months depending on the choice of the borrower and the borrower’s remaining semesters of the program excluding summer.
  • A 1% per month penalty shall be imposed on the outstanding loan if the borrower fails to settle the amount due based on the schedule of payments.
  • Applicants who avail of the student loan may also use in conjunction only one (1) non-funded scholarship grant, if applicable. (GSIS, PAG-IBIG, Sibling Scholarship, Scholarship Exam, etc.)
  • The payment for the loan and interest (if applicable) should be made at the STI Cashier or accredited payment partners of STI (https://payments.sti.edu).
  • Non-fulfillment of financial and/or academic obligations based on schedule may put the student on hold in requesting for academic records, enrollment in succeeding terms or for application to graduate, and may be subject to legal proceedings for collection.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

How to Apply for a Student Loan

  1. Prepare the following documents for submission:

    IDENTIFICATION

    PROOF OF ADDRESS

  2. Fill-out application form and submit documents:

    ONLINE
    • Scan or take a clear photo of all the required documents.
    • Visit https://studentloan.sti.edu/apply/ and completely fill-out the Student Loan Application Form.
    • Upload the photo or scanned files of the documents.
    ONSITE
    • Make a photocopy of all the required documents.
    • Bring the photocopies and originals to your preferred STI campus.
    • Fill-out completely the Student Loan Application Form.
    • Submit the Student Loan Application Form and photocopies to the STI Personnel.
  3. Wait for the results of the loan application (within 3 working days).

  4. Parent/Guardian visits the STI campus to:

    • Sign the student loan Promissory Note (PN).
    • Sign the Registration and Assessment Form (RAF).
    • Pay the required amount indicated in the Registration and Assessment Form (RAF).

  • How do student loans work?

    A student loan can help you pay for college expenses if you haven't already secured funding through scholarships, grants, and other financial assistance to cover them. The money is directly disbursed to the school to cover approved expenses which typically includes expenses such as tuition, miscellaneous and other school fees, books, and laboratory fees, among others. Your undergraduate loan payments will begin based on your agreement with the lending institution.

  • The Landbank-STI Student Loan program, offered in conjunction with STI College, was designed to help you or your child pay for college expenses as easily and inexpensively as possible. The program has ​easy application, ​zero-interest rate*, and a maximum of 30 months to pay. ​

  • You can apply for the Landbank-STI Student Loan by logging in to this site and clicking on the "Apply for a loan" button above. You’ll be directed to an Online Application Form, where you’ll be asked to enter information about yourself and your loan needs. (Please note that STI College does not take applications by phone because required disclosures are presented during the online application process.)

  • You can apply and get your credit decision within 3-5 working days. As soon as you’re approved, you’ll be asked to accept your terms and sign your loan documents.

  • The maximum loanable amount for one school year and per term vary per location of the STI campus. However, you can borrow as much as PhP15,000 for Term 1 of school year 2020-2021.
